Years ago I was taught in modelling class to act as if I was wearing a tiara when walking into a room so as to command attention (and gain confidence). What I like instead is Dr. Weiss' idea of walking in with the light of Spirit and letting it flow through me. I will try that the next time I make an entrance.

Hey Dr Weiss-
Well, I tried the opening up and all I got was a sexual assault from my physician and a handful of people who chose to believe that it was 1) My fault for being too friendly-whatever that means? or 2)was flat out not true. I would've called a lawyer but I know I would never get medical care here again if I did. When I notified the office manager and hospital liason, I got alot of side-stepping and no real help. I was the criminal. I am back at cynicism which I don't view as wisdom but self protection. I have tried to have an open heart but it was a failed state for me.

Dear Dr. Mark,

This very topic came up yesterday over lunch with a wonderful friend. I have created an insulating protective layering over this beautiful heart of mine and am starting, as in "baby steps" starting, to let my inner light shine, regardless of wether I feel vulnerable and unappreciated in the moment. Thanks for the reminder and affirmation for journeying inward and surrendering to "what is" and be"ing" okay with that. And knowing that all is perfect the way that it is now, in any situation, no matter how painful/pain-free or uncomfortable/comfortable. These habit patterns of how I respond in trying situations are so ingrained, it's difficult re-patterning to say the least. Noticing them and my breath simultaneously I've found, again: "baby steps", over and over has led to deeper and deeper awareness and peace as the need to "do" something (to respond) drops away.

Thank you again,
DeeDee

Mark,

Somehow in the mix of life I did not know about your knee surgery. I found
your accounts fascinating, though actually going through all the pain must
be very difficult. I see you as a being of extraordinary ability and know
that said ability guides you in these perilous times of restoration. Your
dips into the dark side of life, whether it be the pain of physical
existence or the death whispers you've survived, make your existence one of
valor, insight, humor and compassion. Given all these circumstance and after
serious deliberation, your contract of friendship has been renewed for the
New Year 2011.

Love,
Healananda

I had to read your post twice to get the full impact of it. I enjoy reading what you have to say. It's unfortunate that more people do not comprehend the benefits of coaching. Keep up the good work.

I miss you and it made me so, so happy to see your picture today on your website!!! I hope that some of the patients I have seen recently have taken me up on my referrals to you. . .I have been very clear about your power as a healer. I have gotten in to rapid trauma resolution through hypnotherapy and will be attending a seminar on this in New Orleans in May. Fun stuff! I think of you often and am so greatful for all that you have done for me and others whose lives you have touched. Love, E.
